Virgin Atlantic

Next month, Virgin Atlantic will release a new business class product–fully lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. This premium business class cabin is being called “The Upper Class,” and will be debuted first on flights between New York-JFK and London Heathrow.

Furthermore, Upper Class passengers will have access to Virgin Atlantic’s new “Loft,” which is an open space with seating for socializing, and will be replacing the onboard bar.

Air France Business Class on the A350

Starting September 23, 2019, Air France will begin flying their A350 with new business class seats. The A350 will have the Zodiac Optima seat, which are the same as the seats in the United Polaris business class cabin.

Lufthansa’s New Business Class

In 2020, Lufthansa will be launching a new business class product. This is what they had to say about it when they teased it in 2017:

The new business class seats will have a 1x1x1 and 1x2x1 configuration. Currently, Lufthansa’s business class seats are in a 2x2x2 configuration.

Turkish Airlines’ New Business Class

This year, Turkish will begin flying its new B787 and A350, which will feature a new business class with a 1x2x1 configuration. The Aurora Seat, which is used by Singapore Airlines’ regional business class, will feature a sliding pane avaiable to the two middle passengers, making all of the seats in this new business class fully private.

Air New Zealand Business Class

Air New Zealand is the longest wait of this bunch, but should be worth it. It is suspected they will announce their new business class seats when the airline is delivered its new aircraft (Boeing 787-10) in 2022.
